The new Pamplona Bus Station is entirely underground, next to the Pamplona citadel, a Renaissance military fortress of great architectural value and next to the urban park "Vuelta del Castillo".
The intervention includes recovery of the historical remains of the Pamplona citadel, as well as the subsequent urban development of the area, to be integrated in the park, where only the large marquee (a single plant glass body and 100 m in length.) over the access to the Station stands out.
The building, covered with grass, is fully integrated into the environment. His intention is to hide itself and enable people to enjoy a fantastic park without losing the service offered by a bus station in the centre of the city. No smoke, no noise, only the nature and birdsong. Minimal visual impact.
